Root Down had the opportunity to transform this once crowded space into an airy and bright oasis. With traditional Craftsman design and modern farmhouse influences we were able to provide this busy family with spaces and light for any variety of activities: most importantly culinary delights. Installing additional windows and expanding the doorway into the dining made for interesting structural challenges that Root Down was adept at navigating during the renovation of this 1917 historic home.
